For this week’s tasks, we were asked to practice perspective drawing with any picture we chose. For my project, I chose a Church-like building I got from http://reference.sketchdaily.net/en. However, I encountered a number of different problems when attempting to draw it.

This was my first attempt at perspective drawing and a little shading. However, the proportions of all the windows were wrong as well as the angles of the lines, especially on the right side of the building. The most difficult parts of the drawing were the roofs, arches, and stairs. Each part of the building I drew took multiple attempts and restarts, therefore, this took me a long time and if I were to do this again I would spend a little less time on each part and just focus on the main areas. In conclusion, I would say this is not my best attempt at perspective drawing but over my time at University I will keep trying perspective drawing.
